Edward L. Stalder, 61 years of age, of Beatrice, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home. He was born on February
27, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas to Robert and Darlene (Caldwell) Stalder. He enlisted in the United States Navy on October 12,
1973 and served his country during the Vietnam War until being honorably discharged September 9, 1974. He was actively involved
Alcoholics Anonymous. He began the Sons of Sobriety prison ministry at the Gage County Jail and has spent the past seven years
ministering to inmates. Big Ed used his gift of sharing his experiences, strength and hope to change lives.
Ed is survived by 2 daughters, Chandra (Andrew) Mason of Lenexa, Kansas, Lindsey (Darrell) Brown of Lincoln; 2 sons, Daniel,
Benjamin, both of Lincoln; 3 grandchildren, Lincoln Mason of Lenexa, Kansas, Jullisa and Sienna Ruff of Lincoln; mother, Darlene
of Beatrice; 3 brothers, Robert (Ronnie) of Hartville, Missouri, Aaron (Beth) of rural Humboldt, Daniel of Wymore; and 2 sisters,
Janice Stalder of Elkhorn, Shonti Stalder of Hartville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stalder.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, August 22, 2016 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Preacher
Jeff Hamilton officiating. Interment with military rites will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2016 at The Four-Mile
Cemetery south of Humboldt. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 4 to 6 PM Sunday, August
21, 2016 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice. Memorials are suggested to the family choice in care of the mortuary. Condolences
